Despite the age of this program it remains maybe my most frequently used QR generator program. Still works great with creating wifi networks that are easy to join but use strong passwords.

@MnX: nice find. :)

AdrianK_IT on 2012-07-20 19:25

Almost perfect! All it lacks is the ability to run a slideshow in random order.

AdrianK_IT on 2015-03-17 15:30

Been experimenting with this app again; was looking for a simple slideshow viewer that responded well to voice commands, for use with a Windows 8.1 tablet. Very good for that; still would like to see a random order option.

@webb. Good work and interesting points made by yourself and the developer. Now we know why no documentation exists on SF. More might use this if a detailed overview was available describing what it does and its usefulness compared to similar apps.

@webb: excellent work!

Would it too much to ask you to repost the author's reply to KuShellExtension official forum topic -- which I have just added?

MnX on 2012-07-07 20:28

I agree with Midas on this one. I just want a "viewer" and this one does exactly what I need it to do. When I want to review and select a font for a project, this one is quick and simple to use. I recently tried NexusFont and didn't like all the unnecessary functions and the clunky GUI. This one works for me.

QIcon Changer v1.0

Midas on 10 Feb 2021
  • 2MB (uncompressed)
  • Released on 13 Mar 2012
  • Suggested by I am Baas

QIcon Changer is a small tool that allow you to patch the icon of any kind of application (including .exe and .scr), overwriting the previous icon resource with the new one you chose. Just drag an icon file (.ico) from your desktop then drop to the application layer then do the same process with your target application, drag an executable from your desktop then drop in the application layer then you can apply the modification and enjoy your new application icon.

Note: If the target application is compressed / packed it will not be able to patch the icon because most packer will make resource format invalid.

Category:
Runs on:WinXP / Vista / Win7
Writes settings to: None
Stealth: ? No. (details)
License: Freeware
How to extract:
  1. Download the installer and extract to a folder of your choice
  2. The application is in the {app} folder
  3. Launch QIconChanger.exe

Problems? This process requires an up-to-date component (Innounp 0.37 or above) for Universal Extractor. If you have difficulty extracting the files, follow the steps below and retry:
  1. Download the latest version of Innounp
  2. Extract the RAR package to the \bin folder of Universal Extractor, overwriting the existing innounp.exe

@bzl333: have a look at Folderico (http://www.portablefreeware.com/?id=1301).

loin2kolpotoru on 2014-03-12 04:43

Try PEIconChanger - http://www.portablefreeware.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21358

It is better then QIconChanger because it supports importing icon from exe files which QIconChanger dose not support

This is a fantastic launcher that I've grown perhaps too dependent on. Really speeds up launching programs. If you like to type, this is the program for you.

Ratatosk on 2009-09-22 12:33

I beg to differ. This launcher is diabolical.

Midas on 2012-04-20 14:05

It's a shame Colibri's development has stopped, it's an amazing product. The dedicated Google Group is still accessible and has a few valuable tips, if anyone's interested:
http://groups.google.com/group/colibri-talk

Also not mentioned at the site is the fact that Colibri is now OSS (source is hosted @ https://github.com/catch22/colibri) and has been looking for a new team for more than a year (http://stillmaintained.com/catch22/colibri)...

Great for small companies and intranets. If you are on a network with a lot of people sharing a lot of files without much control over that, it can be hard to track down the information you need. This lets you find what you need across multiple shares on multiple computers.
